Synopsis

An ex-gangbanger takes a homeless youth off the streets of San Jose. In their healing, Mikey “The Bull” Portales loses 170 pounds and contends for a boxing world title. Their story takes us behind the scenes of the youth homelessness crisis and offers an examination of personal transformation, how we cultivate it in ourselves, and what’s really needed to facilitate it in others.
